This wine is a Mondeuse from a place called "Les Amadoleys" in Yvorne. The vine benefits from the heat of the wall along which it is planted: maturity is easy. This grape variety, once very common in the Lake Geneva region and now rare in the canton of Vaud, requires controlling its yield. Our Mondeuse, a half-sister of Syrah, offers notes of prunes and truffles on the nose. Its undergrowth vinification, in half-barrels of 125 liters, allows the somewhat rustic tannins to harmonize. They give this wine a slightly wild but racy character.
